Response to ‘Something to Ponder’ CIOS 256

As I was searching each web site. I noticed that they were mainly about the web designer of each site. Except for Soul Purpose web site. This seemed to be more about the product. The others had information about the web designer, featured works, forums, web logs, contact information and just overall clean sites. They were all detailed but without all the pop-ups and ridiculous ads. I thought this was a great way to advertise their specialty and gain business!

Web Site I really think is great

One web site that I really get so much use of is Google. com. When I was working full time as a Procedure Scheduler at one of the main clinics here in town, this was a useful tool for my job. Google.com helped me find websites that helped me find out what the codes are for and what exactly the diagnosis entailed. I could look up different procedures and diagnosis that I didn’t really know about, and learn more about what I was scheduling for the patient. This helped me in deciphering the doctor’s handwriting, which could be a challenge and find out what the codes were.

This web site is very user friendly. It holds so much information and can really help you get to where you want to go. The design of the web site is simple and it gives you a little blurb of what the web site contains. It’s up to the user to go there or keep looking. All in all, Google.com is, in my opinion one of the most widely used and accessed web sites around.

Busy yet very fun! No great jokes to share or wonderful stories to share. But it was a day at the financial aid office, business office and then off to the UAF bookstore. Picked up the kids from school, that’s when things get interesting and fun! They keep me on my toes!! I was surprised that I had my three kids sitting at the table doing their homework and so was I!! How awesome and cool for me. I was thinking…we are all doing our homework and all of the sudden it hit me. I am a student once again. Regardless of what my youngest daughter thinks. She says, “Mom’s don’t learn, they teach!” Very cute and so innocent. But I will learn and learn a lot and also teach my children the best I can. So she is right, I will teach and learn from them as well.
